Stone has always
been used for roofs throughout the world, with more or less fine
thinly cut layers (bottom layer).
The shapes can be irregular polygons, squares of varying sizes, with
borders that are sawed off, sheared, rounded, with or without
pre-set holes, etc.
Currently mechanically cut slabs with specific thicknesses and
processed surfaces are also used.
It is thus possible to have roofs in various colors, usually in
shades of grey, green and black which can be more or less rustic and
irregular, from heavier to lighter weights.
In the past, roofs had to be completely rain-proof; now the
water-proofing of the underlying structures makes this
characteristic optional therefore allowing for a lower level of
superimposition and slope, etc.
